Represented Houston-area city councilman in highly publicized public corruption jury trial. Firm partner Cordt Akers was brought in 5 weeks before trial to try the case, and our client was found not guilty of all counts. He was later appointed mayor pro-tem after the verdict.

Represented Vice President of International Chemical Company in ‘The Arkema Trial’ with attorney Dan Cogdell. After a month of trial, our client’s case was dismissed. The trial ended with no convictions.

Represented high-profile Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo in the “Elevate Strategies” bid-rigging investigation. After three years’ investigation by the District Attorney’s Office and Texas Attorney General, no charges were filed and the matter was closed.

Represented FIFA Match Agent in federal fraud jury trial involving an $8 million loss allegation in the planning and promotion of international soccer matches. Client was exonerated of wrongdoing by the jury while also separately winning a breach of contract case resulting in the opposing party paying all of our client’s legal fees.

Represented individual in 8-figure fraud cyber fraud allegation charged with engaging in organized criminal activity with relation to intercepting funds meant to purchase airplanes in New Zealand. Case was dismissed.

Part of defense team of Texas State Attorney General Ken Paxton in indictment for securities fraud and failure to register as a securities advisor. After 10 years of litigation, the indictments were dismissed.

Represented Harris County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant in a highly-publicized police brutality criminal trial. After a hung jury 11-1 for acquittal, the case was dismissed.
